The high altitude ski resort of Obertauern offers snow sure conditions from the end of November through to the beginning of May.  Pistes lie between 1630m and 2313m. Over 100 kilometres of fully linked piste mean that you can ski all day and not take a bus or car!

The pistes are set up in a circular pattern  - and you can ski round it in both directions . Believe us the first time you tackle this you need have a clear head until you get your brain around it ! Once you've got the idea it is great. You can start at any point on the circle and always know that you can ski back to where you started . 26 lifts join up the 61 km of easy, 35 km of intermediate and 4km of advanced pistes.

In the winter season Obertauern is a lively resort with a good range of bars and restaurants.

In the summer months the area is great for walking, cycling and climbing.

The village is 90km from Salzburg and the airport  . There are good road connections to the village.
